Timiebi Koripamo-Agary

Dr. Timiebi Koripamo-Agary, OON retired as a Permanent Secretary from the Federal Civil Service in 2008, following a long and fulfilling civil service career at both federal and state levels that demonstrated her hard work and commitment to excellence.

A highly respected gender activist and mediator on labor and conflict issues who has served as the National Coordinator for Initiative for Peace and Industrial Harmony since 2011, she has received numerous awards and fellowships including the national honor, Officer of the Niger (OON).

She holds a B.Sc. in Animal Science from the University of Ibadan, an M.Sc. in Nutrition from the University of London, another M.Sc. in Statistical and Epidemiological Methods from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, and a Ph.D in Public Health from the University of North Carolina. She has attained several professional certifications in public sector reform, political and economic leadership, negotiation and alternative dispute resolution from prestigious institutions across the world including INSEAD (France) and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government (U.S.).

 

Since retiring, Dr. Koripamo-Agary has continued her national service as part of government committees addressing national issues including industrial peace, election violence and peace and security in the Niger Delta.
