Outgrowers Scheme Development Program
PIND is a leader in implementing market systems development programs in Nigeria. We are known to be at the forefront of integrating the Market Systems Development (MSD) approach within the broader scale.  We offer the supply chain development service to private companies and investors in order to meet their growing demand of farm produce. We support interested companies in setting up out-grower schemes for commercial purpose, and assist them through community mobilization and engagement. For intending clients, PIND will establish linkage between farmers, agro-led processors and/or communities with the company, and provide oversight on farmers’ activities to ensure that the scheme is run sustainably in line with agreed terms.  As an important part of the scheme,PIND offers trainings and capacity building programs to out growers, farm clusters, agro-led processors in client’s choice agricultural value chains. For example, PIND’s projects support the growth of aggregation supply chains that link tens of thousands of smallholder farmers to private companies for local and commercial exports.
Analysis And Special Studies
PIND is the go-to organization for value chain analysis across different agricultural sectors. We conduct special studies for private companies and development agencies. Our study reports enhance understanding about the socio-economic dynamics, community and market actors’ behavior in the region, and this supports decision makers in identifying efficient and equitable interventions. We also conduct community assessment studies that helps organizations gain deeper understanding of the context of their operational area, strategies for community engagement, evaluate the appropriate CSR initiatives and we develop sustainability reports from these studies. In collaboration with local partners and institutions, PIND designs and executes scalable, replicable business solutions that encourage systemic market change. To achieve more inclusive and dynamic market systems, PIND continues to analyze and understand target communities, sectors and market actors, associated barriers and opportunities, and the approaches that can sustainably shift behaviors and attitudes. This resulting information enables the design, testing and adoption of models that lead to inclusive economic growth for women, men and youth.
Project Management
(including project planning & design, result measurement, and value for money analysis): PIND offer clients local knowledge and unparalleled technical expertise, to carry out complex projects. PIND manages large-scale social and economic change initiatives while delivering on-time and on-budget. Making this possible requires the ability to work across sectors and stakeholders, under circumstances in which discretion and compliance are essential. From government agencies to the private sector to multinational organizations, we build partnerships that meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations. PIND also works with clients to assess their impact and provide premium reporting to support performance improvement and transparency. This recounting is critical to ensuring responsible business practices.
Human Capital Development
Private sector companies, NGOs and government agencies leverage PIND’s expertise to improve individual learning outcomes and achieve sustainable economic growth for a skilled and competitive workforce. The high youth unemployment rate is gradually pushing out the traditional pathways of education and jobs. PIND consistently seeks ways to bridge the skills gap between actual demand from employers and supply of competent workforce. Without steady jobs, alongside limited access to quality education, the youth will remain restive and unfulfilled. We provide trainings for diverse demographics, as well as demand driven youth skills development programs. Key business sectors are; Agriculture, Construction, ICT, Leather and Renewable Energy. For government agencies, PIND identifies and address skills and knowledge gaps through targeted organizational development approaches, and helps States deliver lasting improvements in policy, quality of training and strengthened links between education and employment.
