Biography

Lateefa Musah is a Communications Consultant at the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) with over 5 years of experience as a Peace Builder, Data Anaylst, Program Management, Community Development Practitioner, Writer, Storyteller, and Engineer. Her professional journey focuses on promoting peacebuilding and economic development in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria. Lateefa has actively contributed to developing and implementing more than 50 peacebuilding interventions, projecting impact stories related to regional peace actors, farmers, renewable energy, and youth employment projects.

Beyond her role at PIND, Lateefa is the visionary founder of the Health, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Mentorship (HELM) Foundation. Dedicated to educating and training secondary school teenagers on essential soft skills and executing community projects that solve immediate problems in their communities.

Lateefa is a distinguished alumnus of the US Department of State IVLP, a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, a Young African Leader Initiative (YALI) Cohort Alumni, and an awardee of the US Department Impact Award. She was recognized as one of the top 10 winners of USAID’s Youthlead Turning Point Writing Competition. She received the Advocacy and Media Platform Award in the Niger Delta through her work with NDLink.

Academically, Lateefa holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Coventry University and a master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Surrey, both in the United Kingdom.
