Ibiye Asime Wakama Ekong

Ibiye Asime Wakama-Ekong has over 26 years of experience in the banking sector, with expertise in corporate governance, risk management, business analysis, financial management and networking. She served as the Executive Director on the Board of Skye Bank (now Polaris Bank) where she delivered business solutions to key corporations and governments in the South-South and South East regions of Nigeria.

A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and a former elected member of the Governing Council of the CIBN, she has attended various banking and management programs offshore and is well grounded in strategy formulation, performance management and in corporate social responsibility programs.

She holds a first degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Lagos, an MBA from the Pan African University, Lagos and has extensive governance & boardroom experience.
