Biography
Chuks Ofulue is a Research Economist with over 28 years of experience in the development sector, working with governments, NGOs, CSOs, and private sector entities. His specialty is building macroeconomic models that help integrate sectors of the economy in achieving rapid economic growth. His background includes policy analysis, developing economic models for developing economies, and the provision of a suite of economic intelligence services to support strategic planning in government, businesses, and development organizations. Chuks has technical depth in subnational governance with demonstrated leadership and management skills. He has a proven record of partnerships with subnational governments, CSOs, and the private sector. He has worked on several development projects, such as the DFID/PDF11 Economic Project, the British Council/NSRP Project, the European Union, Niger Delta Support Programs, DFID/DAI MADE11, Ford Foundation’s Gender/Disability project, and as Chief Economist and head of economic development of the BRACED Commission with the overall responsibility of integrating the south-south regional economic policies. Chuks holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Ibadan; an MSc in Economics with a PG.Dip in Development and Manpower planning from the University of Lagos; and an MPhil in Econometrics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
