Biography
Anas is a seasoned professional with experience in business and international development across diverse sectors within local and international organizations. With a background as a Project Manager, Market System Development, and Agronomy, Anas possesses a unique blend of skills that span across sectors and value chains. His expertise in coordinating complex projects, driving policy improvements, and fostering partnerships has yielded exceptional outcomes.
This has allowed him to excel in various roles where he held several impactful positions, including his role as Senior Technical Advisor at Ardent & Brisk, where he was responsible for coordinating, administering, and managing the PROTECT Project in selected Nigerian States. Served as Agribusiness Technical Advisor for implementing the “Agripreneurship” Program in Kaduna State that supported women and youth agripreneurs. Anas has served as the Market Manager at the Business Innovation Facility (BIF) Nigeria PwC/DFID (UKAID), where he played a pivotal role in devising and delivering strategies that addressed challenges in the agricultural value chain, fostering collaborations, and facilitating market-driven linkages to boost productivity and income sustainably. He has also served as the Technical Assistant to the Minister of State for Agriculture at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development from 2011 to 2013. His extensive engagement in various sectors and value chains has given him an understanding of the private and public sectors with wide networks.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the University of Maiduguri and a Master’s and Postgraduate Diploma in Development Studies Development Studies from the Bayero University Kano (BUK).
