PIND was at the Nigerian Economic Outlook Conference (NEOC) which in Lagos on January 31, 2018, to present a talk on ‘What Replaces Oil in the global Economy: Agriculture, Manufacturing and Productivity ’.
The Nigeria Economic Outlook Conference is an agenda setting conference seeking to deepen discussion around economic issues in Nigeria, call for action to spur economic growth, and develop metrics to monitor the development process in Nigeria. The theme for NEOC 2018 was “Nigeria in the World, the World in Nigeria” and discussions were around Nigeria’s place in a post crude oil world, rapidly changing global geopolitical landscape and what Nigeria can do to attract investment and create jobs in a rapidly digitized economy.
PIND shared aspects of its economic development and peacebuilding projects, with special emphasis on the work being done in Aquaculture, Cassava and Palm Oil Value Chains and expanding exploration towards Cocoa and Poultry value chains.
