PIND participated in a planning workshop on aquaculture themed: “Increasing Income, Diversifying Diets and Empowering Women in Nigeria”. The workshop held from 15 to 16 January, 2019 in Abuja and was organized by WorldFish in collaboration with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Mississippi State University. It brought together 30 participants (which include project partners, representatives from relevant state agencies, experts, private sector and donors) to discuss and agree on project implementation plan of action, project geographies, research methodologies, data collection and survey process. WorldFish is an international, nonprofit research organization that harnesses the potential of fisheries and aquaculture to reduce hunger and poverty.
