This past quarter so progress in pro-poor economic development interventions with further scale-up on the successful demonstration pond pilot project with new ponds in Warri and progress on an outgrower scheme for cassava farmers in Edo, Delta and Ondo States. The team also worked to support business support service providers operating in the Niger Delta with tools to help them do their work better, and built local capacity in the production of the chorkor oven, a clean-burning stove made with local materials that allows market-women smoke more fish in less time and with less pollution. NDLink is working towards of a record of development projects in the region to promote knowledge sharing in the development community, and the PIND-supported Partners for Peace (P4P) state chapters are working independently to promote peace and resolve conflict in every Niger Delta state.
