Good Agronomic Practices Training for Cassava Farmers in Ondo State

PIND facilitated a Good Agronomic Practices (GAP) training at the Akogun Camp in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State on April 18, 2018.

GAP training is a technical training which involves the establishment of a demonstration plot. The training includes the following;

  1. Land preparation;
  2. Planting activities;
  3. Pre-emergence herbicide application;
  4. Fertilizer application;
  5. Post-emergence herbicide application;
  6. Harvesting.

This is part of PIND’s Cassava Value Chain Project designed to help farmers in the Niger Delta improve the quality and quantity of their yield and income.
