PIND Foundation, on the 27th of February 2024, collaborated with the Delta State Government and Serendib to sign an MoU to support the second-largest mangrove restoration project globally. This initiative aims to protect the ecosystem, sequester carbon emissions, and prevent deforestation on a massive scale.

The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) participated in the launch of Serendib Capital’s new offices in Port Harcourt and Warri on the 30th & 31st of July, 2024. The event marks a significant milestone in their partnership aimed at fostering environmental sustainability and socio-economic development in the Niger Delta.

As part of the launch, a 30-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Rivers State Government, Serendib Capital, Eight Versa, and PIND to kickstart a groundbreaking mangrove restoration project covering 240,000 hectares.
