SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Specifically, the engaged consultant will conduct quantitative and qualitative field surveys that will provide adequate evidence-based data and information that will enable PIND to achieve the following objectives:
- To demonstrate social value and business case of PIND’s programs and projects to donors and partners.
- To comprehend what the residents of the targeted communities consider as peace, safety and security.
- To better understand what works, what does not work, as well as why they work or do not, for PIND’s strategic planning, and if necessary, course correction.
SCOPE OF WORK
The proposed survey study will focus on 81 purposively selected communities across the nine (9) States of the Niger Delta where PIND have implemented peace building interventions. Nine (9) communities will be selected from each State including three (3) communities from each of the three (3) Senatorial Districts in a State. The consultant is required to collect both qualitative and quantitative data and information through survey questionnaire, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and key Informant Interviews (KIIs). Data and information from approximately 1,417 respondents, including 1,066 survey respondents, 216 FGD participants and 135 key informants.
The consultant is required to look for the field researchers/ enumerators, male and female, budget, and manage the team of enumerator/ field researchers. PIND, encourage the consultant to select the enumerators from the pull of Partners for Peace (P4P) members in each state of the Niger Delta.
