This report covers the activities and results achieved by the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) from January 1st – March 31st 2013. 50 individuals, including farmers, processors, harvesters, and community association members in Rivers and Imo States were trained to use the palm oil motorized adjustable harvester which will improve their harvesting efficiency. PIND linked 60 cassava farmers in Edo state to supply their harvest of cassava tubers to Thai Farms, one of the largest cassava processors in Ogun State. We invite you to learn more about these and other recent PIND achievements in the foundation’s first quarter report.
