2017 International Women’s Day Reports

As part of activities to celebrate the 2017 International Women’s Day with the theme ‘Be Bold For Change’ and in solidarity with women across the world, the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) organized two events in Benin, Edo State, and in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The first held on 7 March at Best Western Hotel in Benin, Edo State, in partnership with the DFID Market Development in Niger Delta (MADE) project, the USAID MARKETS ll Project and the Edo State Co-operative Farmers Agency (ESCAFAL) organized the Forum on “Women Be Bold For Change in Adopting Agricultural Technologies”.

The second event held on 29 March at Honni Hills Hotel in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, and was a collaboration with the Participatory Partnership for Community Development (PPCD) Project, Warri; the Bayelsa Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA); and the Partners for Peace in Niger Delta Project (P4P) held a forum on “Women be Bold for Change in Community Leadership and Peace Building”.
