PIND organized a side-event at the 24th Nigerian Economic (NES) Summit on October 23, 2018 in Abuja themed “Pioneering New Models: Systemic Human Capacity Development and Wealth Creation – Lessons from the Niger Delta”.
The objective of the side-event was to share PIND’s insights and lessons learned from using its model of human capacity development to foster sustainable economic development; and to recommend how the PIND’s model can be adapted in different sectors such as agricultural market systems; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs); skills’ development; civil society; and peace ecosystem. The two hour session brought together 58 attendees which include government leaders, development partners, media and citizens.
