The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) invites stakeholders to a critical policy roundtable on the impact of communal conflicts on agricultural investments in the Niger Delta. Scheduled for May 7, 2025, this engagement will foster dialogue on conflict-sensitive strategies to strengthen agricultural resilience and drive sustainable economic growth across the region.
Communal conflicts, especially over land and water resources, continue to undermine agricultural productivity, discourage investments, and threaten livelihoods in the Niger Delta. Drawing from insights in PIND’s 2024 policy brief, the roundtable aims to chart practical approaches that promote peace and secure long-term agricultural development.
PIND welcomes participation from farmers, herders, investors, peace actors, government representatives, researchers, civil society organizations, and private sector leaders. Discussions will focus on actionable solutions to reduce conflict risks and create an enabling environment for inclusive agricultural investment.
