Join the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) on Wednesday, 14 April 2021 at 10:00am (WAT) in a ceremony to officially close out the Niger Delta Youth Employment Pathways (NDYEP) project that has demonstrated model trails for employment through competency based skills training of marginalized youth since 2017.
The project, implemented by PIND with support of the Ford Foundation, in its design addressed youth job readiness, workforce development and job creation in three pilot States of Abia, Akwa Ibom and Rivers and in priority sectors of agriculture, construction, information and communications technology (ICT) and renewable energy and finished leather.
The occasion will recognize the service of the Advisory Committee Members and feature a panel session for partners to share on their experiences, results and achievements, as well as key lessons learned through the NDYEP project. Also, there will award of successful participants of the NDYEP Business Plan Competition within the moment.
Expected participants are key partners and youth employment players in the public, private and civil sectors, international development organizations, project advisory committee members, implementing partners, media and PIND staff that contributed to the success of the project.
