Introducing PIND’s Q1 January – March 2014 Progress Report

This report covers activities and results achieved by the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) from Jan 1st to March 31st, 2014. During this period, the Foundation began work to scale-up its successful demonstration pond pilot project which concluded in 2013 and traveled to Imo and Abia states to facilitate conflict assessment workshops where network members in each state learned the skills needed to identify, analyze and mitigate conflict in their respective communities. Through the local governance strengthening program Leadership Empowerment and Development (LEAD), PIND supported 3 Champion Local Government Council (CLGCs) to hold town hall meetings with government, private and community stakeholders where community needs and priorities for inclusion in the LGCs’ 2014 budget were identified. This quarter also marks the first full quarter of work for NDLink, the web-based platform to boost multi-stakeholder dialogue and collaboration for Niger Delta development online. We invite you to learn more about these about other recent PIND achievements in the first quarter report.
