I participated fully in all the three training sessions comprising the Intermediate Course of CAPABLE – Proposal Writing and Grants Making in Project Cycle; Computer in Development Environment and Budget Development, Financial Management and Reporting. My skills have been greatly enhanced in all areas covered.
“Using skills from CAPABLE helped my creative writing and earned me additional income from an International Media outfit. I am happy that my skill improved as a result of my participation in CAPABLE training and is helping me to explore other income opportunities”.
In my organization, we now write proposals in a very professional way. We have improved on our financial management system and reporting. We were able to access the CAPABLE Challenge Fund as a result of our improved proposal writing skills. I am happy that my skill improved as a result of my participation in CAPABLE training and is helping me to explore other income opportunities.
My organization was able to secure sponsorship to attend the Africa Regional Meeting on New Urban Agenda for Africa in February 2016, an agenda that strengthens the Sustainable Development Goals the United Nations, which significantly address underdevelopment in the Niger Delta region. I reached out to an on-line media to write a story on the meeting focusing on the plights of the underprivileged in the region.
CAPABLE training is not only for organizational development but also helps to develop capabilities of participating individuals. I used skills from the Proposal Writing and ICT classes particularly newsletter development class to develop a story on urbanization in the Niger Delta. The story earned me 500 dollars in this period of scarce foreign exchange. I am now encouraged to develop further stories for income and will continue to use skills from CAPABLE Training.
