On the 18th – 19th of May, 2023, the PIND Executive Director, Tunji Idowu, attended the Nigeria Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair (NOGOF) 2023 at Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Conference Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The fair’s theme was “The Oil and Gas Industry- Catalyst and Fuel for the Industrialization of Nigeria.”
The fair brought together key players from various sectors, who engaged in quality discussions to guide businesses and organizations in leveraging the array of opportunities in the oil and gas sector.
PIND Executive Director participated in the 2nd Technical session, which discussed the “Impact of ESG Standards on Local Content Development- What, When and How.” In his address, while sharing PINDs value proposition, the executive director invited organizations to collaborate with PIND, working on the Environment and Social streams with footprints in all nine Niger Delta states. He reiterated that one of PIND’s overarching goals is to reduce poverty by facilitating jobs and supporting youth entrepreneurship; while building the capacity of peace actors within the Niger Delta to mitigate and prevent conflicts.
