Securing Our Future: The Fierce Urgency of Now – PIND’s Executive Director to Speak at #NES27

The Executive Director of the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta – PIND, Tunji Idowu, has been announced as a speaker at the 27th Nigerian Economic Summit which will be held in Abuja from October 25 – 26, 2021.

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) is a private sector-led, non-partisan and apolitical think-tank and policy advocacy group based in Nigeria that promotes sustainable growth and the development of the Nigerian economy. They host an annual summit on developing Nigeria’s economy. The theme for this edition of the Summit is ‘Securing Our Future: The Fierce Urgency of Now’. There are also sub-themes: High and Sustained Growth; Quality of Life; National Security; and Political Economy.

With Nigeria’s economic trajectory veering off its potential, thereby facilitating poverty, insecurity, inequality, unemployment, debt and fiscal unsustainability amongst a myriad of issues, it has become important to bring stakeholders together to envision strategies to reverse Nigeria’s economic trends to achieve high and sustained growth and bring Nigeria back on its path to assuming its economic potentials.

This Summit is an opportunity to share how PIND is reducing poverty and fostering stability in the Niger Delta with evidence-based and proven-to-work approaches in agriculture, youth development, social inclusion for traditionally marginalized communities and influencing government policies, practices and programs.

Register here to participate in the sessions and share your thoughts on PIND’s ideas for a better, more improved Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole. You can also follow PIND across social media platforms – Facebook and LinkedIn @PINDFoundation – for excerpts from PIND’s session at the Summit.
