Throughout the second quarter of 2012, the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) achieved various milestones in its effort to promote equitable economic growth in the Niger Delta, with one of the most significant being the May 9th commissioning of PIND’s Economic Development Center (EDC) in Warri. Other noteworthy achievements include the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the DFID-funded Enhancing Nigerian Advocacy for a Better Business Environment (ENABLE) project, the launching of PIND’s Media Production Hub operations from the EDC, and the completion of the first training course for PIND’s Capacity Building for Local Empowerment (CAPABLE) project.
